[It only stands to reason that fitting three people and a wolf into a home meant for one man will lose its novelty eventually – that even people who love each other wholly need privacy and their own space to breathe. No tensions have risen yet, fortunately, and the three of them have made it work well enough so far, but they can all sense the reality of their circumstances looming in the distance.
At least this time, those circumstances aren't unkind. Merely different. An adjustment they get to make on their own terms for once in their damned lives.
The conversation happens in the evening, so Jill and Clive set out in the morning, their bellies full with a hearty breakfast and the bag across Jill's shoulder packed with sandwiches for lunch, should their search for a home extend into the afternoon. Joshua sees them off, and after a few steps down the nearest path, Jill looks to Clive, softly smiling.]
Let's look for a cottage. One with room enough for a garden, and space for Torgal too.
