[ Clive nods agreeably, having already determined to let Jill have the final say in the selection once they've narrowed down their choices a bit. He knows her well enough to be certain that she'll take his preferences into consideration without his even asking it of her, but when the homes are as mutable as the ones here, it leaves plenty of room for them to change things as the need arises. ]

I'll admit, it's been a bit difficult to fully feel at ease with the magic here. Valisthea's magic caused so much suffering to so many people, but here... it's different--not a curse, not a burden. If it allows me to dedicate my time to you and Joshua, then I have no complaints.

[ Reaching down, Clive slings his arm around Jill's body, allowing his hand to settle on her hip. He feels more at peace now than he can recall ever having felt during his life; it's a foreign feeling, one he scarcely knows how to process. How does one simply exist in such a state, feeling such contentment? It's more than he ever believed he would have.

At the mention of their wedding, Clive ducks his head, a grin spreading across his face. The mere mention of it makes him eager with anticipation. ]

Indeed it does. But... there is an appeal to furniture shopping. You and I, in a home we chose, surrounded by the things we've picked for ourselves simply because we like them. Decorating to suit our own tastes. That's a bit enticing, isn't it? Our wedding is the first step--the start of the rest of our lives.
